Produced exclusively in the district of Parma that has the ideal climatic conditions for natural curing that gives it a unique, sweet and delicate taste. Salt is the only additive allowed. This PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) product is linked to a long and rigid production process certifying the absolute excellence and genuineness of the product. Cured for 18 months.
Cut slice of pink/red color, white, pure white fat, required to keep the prosciutto soft, the aroma is strong, persistent, and when cut it must be curved soft. The flavour is sweet and flavorsome – expression of a century-old craftsmanship.
