The Turkish word “bulgur” means “grain of cereal”. Bulgur comes from whole durum wheat, pre-cooked in water, then dried, peeled and crushed or ground. As a whole grain, it is a naturally high-fibber, low-fat, low-calorie vegetarian and vegan food ingredient.
