Kohno Red Sushi Vinegar (150ml)

₱325.00

Authentic Edo-style red sushi vinegar made from 100% Okayama-grown rice sake lees, aged for three years to develop a rich umami flavor and deep aroma.
Traditionally fermented using acetic acid bacteria preserved since the company was founded in 1888, it is seasoned with only Japanese sugar and salt. The three-year aging process gives the vinegar its distinctive dark red color, mellow aroma, gentle acidity, and rich, complex flavor.
Known as “red vinegar,” this traditional Japanese vinegar has been used for sushi since the Edo period. Its long production process makes it a rare and premium vinegar.
Perfect for hand-rolled sushi, chirashi sushi, and cup sushi, it also pairs well with meat, curry, and other dishes. Its soft acidity and deep umami enhance the natural flavors of food without overpowering them.
