Fraise des Bois (Wild Strawberries)

Fraises de Bois are also called wild strawberries or “strawberries of the woods.”

The berries are miniscule, and are not more than half an inch in length. They are also very delicate, with a squishable quality. Their taste, however, is incredible, sweeter than most other strawberries.

They are seasonal and are available for only a short time each year.
