The sun comes has returned along with our new Spring must-have recipe : Strawberry – Bell Pepper – Balsamic Vinegar. At first, one would thing those three have nothing to do together. However, thanks to the creativity of our pastry Cheffe, this triptych has convinced everyone in here : a jam truly to die for !
The brave will say « oh yeah right, with a cheese from Corsica, ricotta cheese or with Eggs Mimosa. They won’t be wrong but the Strawberry, Bell Pepper and Balsamic Vinegar jam simply spread on a fluffy brioche bread with a classic Earl Grey tea is the best way to have it. Its secret is full strawberry chunks which will fill your palate at first, followed by seditious bell pepper and mischievous balsamic vinegar which work together hand-by-hand, in a subtle way. We will talk about it again, be sure about that.
SWEET: on a slice of sourdough bread well buttered with semi-salted butter.
SAVOURY: use as a ketchup: on grilled meats, a fried egg, an old cheese…
